I have been using RapidLash for 3 months and my eyelashes are really long. Then I went to Sephora and bought some Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara and my eyelashes just about reach my eyebrows now.
I got the RapidLash from Bed Bath and Beyond (I know - WTH?). It was $50 and I had a 20% off coupon and it lasted about 8 weeks, so it's a lot cheaper than Latisse. The mascara was a little pricey at $24ish, but the results are pretty impressive.

That's good to know, I have heard or Rapid Lash working well. I just purchased Lumigan which is the same thing as Latisse but in a different package from a pharmacy in the UK. It costs $38 including shipping. The down side is that it will take up to 2 weeks to get here. I was anxious to try Latisse but didn't want to pay the $100+ price tag but found Lumigan online. Lumigan has been around for a long time.
FYI for those who don't know, what drug companies can do when they get a new indication for a drug is repackage it to sell as a brand new drug. When this happens, the FDA approves it as a new drug and therefore the drug companies can charge more money for it. This is the case with Lumigan which is the exact same thing as Latisse but at a lower cost.
What we women do for beauty!

Dan was prescribed Lumigan 6 months ago to reduce the glaucoma pressure in his eyes. He was given samples to begin. His eyelashes are definitely thick and long. I have threatened to use it on my eyelids but wasn't comfortable since it was specifically for glaucoma. Do you think Latisse is the "watered down" version or is it 100% Lumigan?

Interesting...the ingredients are the same for Latisse and Lumigan. I might see if Dan can get some more samples from his eye doctor

Steph, Latisse is the exact same thing as Lumigan, no watering down, just in a different tube. Again, this is what drug companies do. It is all in the marketing. Latisse is just repackaged but if you look at the generic name, it is the same thing, same dosage and strength. When it was discovered that one of Lumigan's side effect was longer, lusher lashes, Allegran took that side effect, did a clinical trial, saw great results and decided to repackage it with a different indication and name it Latisse. The FDA approved this and voila, the price jumps up and Allegran makes more money.
I used to work for a drug company so this practice is very common by the pharmaceutical companies. I'll give you another example. I''m sure you have heard of Prozac. Well, research was done to show that Prozac helped for PMDD (really bad PMS). So what Eli Lilly did was repackage prozac, name it Sarafem with an indication of PMDD and voila, the FDA approved it. Women with PMDD didn't want to be labeled as taking an antidepressant hence forth the new name. Same exact product strength, same everything.
Hopefully that answers your question.

Definitely not Sephora. I haven't seen it anywhere else. But I haven't really looked either.

I received an email from Dillard's this week advertising this:
Reveal thicker, longer lashes with Lash Allure MD
Has anyone tried this? Dillard's is selling online - by one and get one free for $49.50

Actran...did your iris color change? I don't want my green eyes to turn brown. That seems to be a side effect of these products. Dan's eyes were brown to begin with so it didn't effect him.

My eyes are brown too. It doesn't say anything in the product insert about your iris changing color. I think it did say the skin where you apply it may darken - but that would be okay with me since I use eyeliner on my lash line - but that didn't happen either.

I've been using Real Lash for the last week or so....twice a day.
My left eye has weird lashes, where right in the middle of the lash line I have a couple lashes that go in a weird direction. I use an eyelash curler but within a few minutes, the lashes mostly uncurl.
Anyway, not sure if Real Lash has made the lashes longer, but the lashes now stay curled, the weird lashes are normal, and mascara goes on really nice.
I bought it on QVC.....item # A73642.....$44.00. To me, it was worth the money. This is advertised as a conditioning treatment, not a lengthener....plus there aren't any warnings about changing the eye color or darkening the skin.
