NOW Riviera Cancun
« on: March 02, 2010, 05:31:30 AM »

Two weeks from today I'm heading to the NOW resort in Puerto Morelos for an 8 night stay.  I am looking forward to experiencing AMR's new branding.  I plan on giving a full report when I return.

Did you just get bacj from CRT?  NOW should be a nice short commute from the airport.  My sister stayed there last year when it first opened (NH).
Two weeks from today also, 9 nights. See you in the CUN airport.

Yes, I did just get back from CRT.  It was terrific even at higher occupancy and I plan to return.

I arrive in CUN just before 11AM, see you in the immigration line!

What sets NOW apart from Dreams/Secrets?  It is not adult only so it has to be something else?  Rick where is NOW in PM?  Is it up north near the Dreams or south near El Cid?

Mike it's south near El Cid.  Here's a map and NOW is the former NH which is on the bottom right of the map.

I have no idea how they'll differentiate the brand from Dreams.  The press release called it a new level of luxury or something like that.  The old NH had an adult only section that is now open to all.  Should be an interesting 8 nights.

Thanks.  I thought AMR Resorts had built another property.  I was not aware this was  takeover.  Thanks again.

There are a few NH trip reports here on the board.  NH was not a very old resort...maybe a year or two at the most; just never really "took off".  The NOW resort will carry forward with the "preferred club" categories that are also at Secrets and Dreams.  Hopefully my meeting with them later this month will be able to shed more light on the whole take over!

Tami and Rick.  Will look forward to hearing all about your visit.  I have not heard of the Resort I don't think.
