We missed Mexico last summer but had a terrific family reunion in Yosemite.
We rented a Cabin at the Redwoods in Wawona, just a few miles from one of the groves of big trees (sequoia gigantea). Wawona is in the park about 30 minutes from the valley floor but away from all the hustle and bustle of the valley. The south fork of the Merced River was just a short walk from our cabin and we visited some of the swimming holes and a "swinging bridge" most every day. We hiked to Vernal and Nevada Falls one day (see photos), rented bikes and rode around the valley one day, and rafted down the Merced River.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures!  My parents are taking my 2 sons in August so it was nice to preview the area.
