May trip! Barcelo Tropical or the new Sandos Riveria near PDC?

My daughter and I are going to Mexico in May. Since Tom's passing in December , I don't think I'm ready to go back to any of our past resorts and was thinking of Barcelo Tropical or the new Sandos Riveria. What do you think? We'll mostly stay at the resort and do nothing but make decisions about eating, drinking, pool or beach. Maybe a shopping trip to PDC or a day trip to Cozumel.

Nothing wrong with either one. I would strongly recommend the Dreams Riviera Cancun. My son and I were there in Dec and LOVED it. No complaints and many, many compliments.

If you can manage it, I would go for the Barcelo Palace. Its def. worth the money even if you dont do Club Premium. The pictures of the Sandos Riviera look amazing.

Wherever you go, I know you'll have a relaxing time.
