FAQ's and info on updated Security Regs
« on: August 11, 2006, 06:07:26 PM »

Here's a quick link to the new regs for air travel, and take note of the Frequently Asked Questions section (all of this highlighted blue boxes and easy to find at the top of the site)....there's alot of misinformation not only on the internet but in the other forms of media as well.....

Updates have been made to the new regulations, including some new allowances, but also some new procedures including mandatory removal of all shoes....keep checking the link above as TSA makes amendments and/or updates!

The home page of the TSA site APPEARS to have been slightly modified - very nice looking. Among other things (which I learned about on MSNBC) is:

http://www.tsa.gov

Under the RESOURCE CENTER (depending on your browser it may be on the RIGHT of the home page or towards the bottom there's a notice about the Travelers Redress Inquiry Program (has to do with with the Watch List and what recourse one has)

Also a new section In the Resource Center - "Claims Management Office".  Has to do with locks/baggage etc.

Under the "News" section there's an interesting story about the new "backscatter technology" in place at PHX (Sky Harbor-Phoenox).  If you are selected for this additional screening, you have the option of saying NO and getting a "pat-down".

If the TSA employee is female and pretty and I am selected, I would choose the pat search!!!
